2ND ANNUAL YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT 2018 | #YES2018

T he 2nd Annual Youth Empowerment Summit (YES2018) is hosted by Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) in collaboration with His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife. The Youth Empowerment Summit is the 2018 annual gathering of Nigerian young entrepreneurs and youths at all stages of business development: business leaders, youth entrepreneurs, mentors, budding entrepreneurs, investors, government officials among others, to discuss and x-ray the challenges and proffer solutions to youth entrepreneurship and development in Nigeria, thus demonstrating YEN’s continued efforts and commitment in fostering youth entrepreneurship development and empowerment in Nigeria for sustainable growth and economic development.

YES2018 will be hosted in the six geo-political zones of Nigeria as follows: Port-Harcourt, Owerri, Jos, Bauchi, Kano and Lagos with over 30,000 delegates, 1000 exhibitors and 60 speakers across Nigeria. YES2018 is the biggest entrepreneurship event ever hosted in Nigeria and will feature business funding, mentorship, conference, summit, networking opportunities, business clinics, exhibition, and town hall meetings.

YES2018 is billed to also empower selected participants (youths) across the federation in the areas of business mentorship, business development support and special business training/capacity development to support start-ups and existing youth entrepreneurs to boost their respective businesses across the country.

The 2018 Youth Empowerment Summit Tour is themed Youth Empowerment: An Antidote to Nigeria’s Economic Growth and Insecurity.

The Summit Tour is slated to hold as follows:

  • YES2018 South-West Lagos Wednesday, 23rd January 2019
  • YES2018 North-West Kano/Grand Finale Monday, 28th January, 2019

Also the YES2018 team will be submitting a comprehensive communiqué to the Federal government and state governments of Nigeria in line with the findings of the summit (challenges and solutions) to youth entrepreneurship development and empowerment in Nigeria across the six geopolitical zones of the federation
